On May 12, 2011, Bethany lost a very dear former member and music director.
Talmadge was the music director at Bethany from 1973 till 1994. He was instrumental in the Church's renovation of the sanctuary and the kitchen. Talmadge helped with the purchase of a new organ and piano. He encouraged Bethany to becoming the "singing church" that it is today.
He was a personal friend to many of us and his loss will be felt for years to come.
Talmadge felt that his Church family helped him grow in his Christian faith and walk. His love for Bethany has been shown in the legacy that he left us. His love for us goes beyond the grave and he will always be a special part of Bethany.
We celebrate his going home but will miss him greatly until we all join him in the heavenly choir.
